 Natasha Xingyuan Che is a PhD candidate in Economics at Georgetown University, where she received rigorous
training in advanced economic theories and applied econometrics. Though mainly focusing on macroeconomics,
she has a wide variety of research interests, including business cycle,
intangible/ organizational capital, industrial and labor market dynamics,
entrepreneurship and venture capital.
Natasha brings
creativity, synthesis, and a propensity towards application into her research
projects. Her most recent study is on
the linkage between the rise of intangible capital and changes in macroeconomic
regularities, such as business cycle fluctuations and sectoral structural change.

Natasha has worked as a consultant at the World Bank and a congressional staffer in the US
Senate. In the former role she managed and analyzed enterprise survey data for multiple countries; in the latter capacity she wrote on a wide rage of policy issues. She also worked on research related to public governance in emerging market countries when she was a
research assistant at Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a
think-tank in Washington
DC.
Natasha received her bachelor degrees in Economics, Applied
Mathematics and English Literature from Peking
University in Beijing.
In her leisure time, Natasha likes rock-climbing, yoga,
traveling and creative writing.
